Talking And another FNG

Hello Everyone,
I have been riding since 1986. My first bike was an 86 Honda Magna V700 which my wife now rides. In 97 I bought a Yamaha Venture which I owned till I recently aquired my latest ride,
A 2003 FLHTCI Firefighter Special.
The FLHT was my ex-partners on the rescue comp. I work on. Him and I where partners for almost 7 years on the fire dept. He retired due to cancer back in Jan. of 2001. He order this bike back in March of 2002. The bike was delivered in Feb of this year and he past away in April.
He never got to ride it. We took him to see it, but he said if he could not stand up on his own he did not want to get on it. We'll back in July his wife called me and asked if I want to buy it. I had to have it. So now I tell his wife, that I am just riding it till I see him again.
Thats my story how I became a member of the brotherhood of Harley riders.
Ken

Welcome, Ken. I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. I like that you were able to buy his bike and what you are saying to his wife. Enjoy both the bike and your friend's presence.

Welcome Aboard Ken!

Instead of the usual "congratulations on your new Harley" I'd like to say that your story was touching and that I am glad you were able to keep your friends new Harley "in the family." I know he would have wanted it that way, and it sounds like his wife did too.

It's a beautiful machine.

Welcome

Welcome, and I would have to agree that is a really touching story. I am sure he will be riding right with you in spirit.

I have a friend who just picked up his firefighter edition last week, heck of a nice bike.

Ride safe
