Hello from way up north.

All the way from Canada.

My name's Angel. I'm a 21-year-old guy living just outside of Toronto, ON. I just got my motorcycle license and I was planning on buying a new Sportster soon.
Next year I'm attending a Harley-specific mechanics program out in Alberta and hopefully I'll make some nice custom machines in the future.
See you all around.

Welcome to the forum. Before you buy your sportster, why don't you rent a few bikes and make sure that's what is best for you?
Downtown Harley have a rental program, plus there are factory rides coming up at all of the dealers - I believe Davies' factory ride is in a couple of weeks. You said you are North of the city, so Davies is probably closest to you.
Good luck - post often - ride safe

Kitchener/Waterloo actually, if you want to get technical.
I always just say "outside of Toronto" because nobody knows about K/W. lol

Yeah I was going to visit the dealership on Front St and give a few a whirl before really committing to anything.
I don't know where any cruises/meets/shows are though. If anyone could help me out with that, it'd be awesome.

There is a good dealership in London, you can see it from the highway when you are passing by (wonderland road exit?). Give them a call and ask when their factory ride dates are - same with any of the other dealers, they all have at least one and sometimes two factory rides a year now, and they usually last about 3 days at each dealership. They come with all of the bikes, and lots of them (usually about 15 - 20 bikes on each ride, ride lasts for around 1/2 hour).
Happy hunting, let me know if I can be of any help.
