New guy from Cincinnati

Hey everyone!

My name is Gene. I'm new to Harleys but definitely not new to riding. Been riding since I was about 6. I grew up with parents who rode and owned a Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki dealership, so pretty much if it was a Japanese sportbike in the 1990s, I've probably had one.

I raced WERA and CCS for many seasons, but now pretty much just do trackdays. My current bikes are a Ducati 900SS/SP for the track and an ST4 for the street. However, the ST4 is going to be sold shortly, because I'm looking at buying a Street Glide or Road Glide in the near future so that the wife can ride with me...Ducs are fun, but not great two-up bikes...I want something that both of us can enjoy, since she prefers riding on the back to riding her own bike.

Anyway. I'm here to hang out, meet people, and learn as much as I can about Harleys as possible. I'm planning on getting my Glide in the next few months, as soon as I find the right machine.

Hi Gene,
And welcome.
I'm in the Cincinnati area myself. The last sport bike I bought was a 1995,ZX11 that I purchased in Middletown.I still have it and really never rode it a lot.I do ride my HDs a ton more in comparison. They are more enjoyable to ride,at least for me anyway.
Good luck with your new bike purchase.

Good luck with your bike search! As a former passenger, I can attest to the extreme comfort the queen seat of an Ultra Classic provides. Your wife's tushy will love you for it. The ability to use the intercom is nice too.
