An intro huh?
Well, lets see...
I "used" to ride an 87 FXRS-SP. That is until some idiot pulled a left turn in front of me. I'm in the process of healing my body and my bike. Broke my femur in two places and the coil took a huge hunk of meat out the inside of my left calf.
Now I hobble around with a cane while I work on getting my FXR road-worthy again. I'm building it for me. Makes me the only one I've got to satisfy with it. Nice huh? More on that later, somewhere...
I'm not a "billet and bling" kind of guy. I like function over form. Rattle-Can black works as well as chrome for me. I hate the term "old-school". Love shovelheads, would love to own one someday. Do most of my own work.
I'm currently unemployed, thanks to the cuts in the defense industry. I'm also a Navy Veteran (1975-1979 and 1981-1983) shows I'm also a little on the old side.
Got a wife and an ex-wife, two kids and two grand-kids. All (except the current wife) live in the KCMO area.
Been sorta lurking here for awhile. Looking at the FXR section more than anything. I belong to several different HD and Chopper-Building site/forums. So, I'm not new to this stuff.
Here's a shot of my bike, before the accident...
