New guy
Looks like a great place!
My name is Paul and live in Colorado Springs...
Bought a Sportster 10 months ago (1st road bike) and it didnt take long to realize that not only did I want a big Harley but a 6'-3" guy doesnt fit too well on a Sportster!
I am sitting here (impatiently) waiting on my wife and daughter to wake up we can make the 6 hr. drive to NM to pick her up!!(trailering) It is an 05 FLHTI with 20K miles.
I had no extra money so this thing is costing me most of my toys in the trade! I am trading my 99 Sportster, 2 collectors firearms & a4000.00 guitar!
I am stoked!!! But also somewhat concerned.. Since the distance is great and will have to stay in a motel. I will probably sit awake all night watching my trailer...
Not sure how to post pix here but I assume you can look at them in my profile?? but I willl give it a try
Hope to "talk" to yall soon!!

Hey Paul, welcome to the forum. Congrats on the new scooter, and have a safe trip. My suggestion for keeping your bike on a trailer in a hotel/motel parking lot: Back it in to a spot (preferably right in front of your room). Hopefully, there won't be enough space for the gate to fold down, inhibiting one's ability to get it off the trailer.

Welcome and safe home. BTW, when I used to trailer my bikes to track days I chained the bike to the trailer and chained the trailer to the car.

Finally figured out how to post a pic.
Yes, the orig. seat has a tear.. But also got a brand new customseat in the deal. I actually like the orig. (as far as comfort) better than the new one. I need to get it repaired..
I know my bike is not as loaded as most of you guys but I couldnt be happier
