Hey everyone, I'm from Evansville Indiana...and I'm in the process of putting together a basket case 1987 FXSTC. I don't have much riding experience, dirt bikes when I was younger. But I can't wait to hop on this bike when it's finished!

I have a blog (http://www.bartofmotorcyclemaintenance.info)...kinda dorky...but I enjoy posting stuff to it and putting up pictures. Mostly this blog is a way for me to let my friends know how things are going with my build.

I have a '96 EVO in the bike that only has 4000 miles on it. Tranny has been rebuilt and I have a S&S Super E carb on her. I'm to the point now where I'm going to be firing the motor and setting my timing and adjusting the carb.

Well here's a picture of her now...soon she'll be looking even better.

I've been trolling this site for awhile, I'm looking forward to contributing to it. I'm hoping that some of the work I've done will allow me to help out a fellow rider.

That's a cool blog, not a dorky one. Thanks for sharing it. The bike looks good. I'm jealous -- some day I'd like to work on a similar project.

Welcome aboard!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I just got my motor started for the first time...I about pissed myself I was so excited. I've been working on this bike for a while and felt great to hear that engine fire.

I put a video up on my blog if you wanna give it a listen.
