My first bike story
OK here goes, its long, and its true. When i was 17 I got a summer job, and didnt listen to my parents. I bought a 1972 Yamaha 125 Enduro for $175.00, from Al Pulsineli. I had riden bikes before but never owned one, we were poor! So first day I get it I am wheelying up and down the street. (Mom, and Dad were at work). The neighbor accross the street didnt like it, so i gave him, and his wife the finger, and went dirt riding with my buddies. That night I got home around 10:00pm, My brother wanted to try the bike, so i let him rip it up the street. The guy across the street cam out, he was a big guy, and drunk, he tried to knock my brother off the bike, but couldnt get him. So he came over, punched me in the eye, and started choking me. I had bent the brake leaver on the bike, and had a 2 fisted screwdriver lying on the ground by me, I was using to fix the brake leaver. I grabbed it and knocked out his front teeth. It stunned him for a minute, but now he was pissed, we started wrestling on my front porch, and my sister came out screaming, dove on his back, and started ripping his hair out. He turned to get my sister, and my little brother came out, and gave me a wooden cane. So I whacked the hell out him with it, until he ran home. Then I notice my next door neighbor standing outside, he is telling me to stop hitting him, than I realize, he was outside the whole time, he only butted in when I got the upper hand. He didnt like me to much, so i whacked him a shot with that cane. I think you guys know the rest, here come the cops, and some legal bills. Within a year of owning that bike, I earned a nice 90 day stay in the county jail, but I never sold it, rode it until it blew up. I have been riding ever since. Had many bikes, and a lot more stories. Hope this was as entertaining for you, as it was for me!

Burlington, exit 4 off the turnpike.
Do you remember when Joe Piscipo was on Sat nite live and did a sketch telling everbody he was from Joisey, what exit? It goes back quite a few years. Welcome to the forum.

Exit 4, Burlington County, great riding down there, been there many times, love riding in the open space. Most people think there is no good place to ride in jersey. I think I know every back road in the state. I just discovered Cumberland County, its real nice riding there to. Another first bike story, in 1980 my brother Bill buys a new Yamaha maxim. I had the new Kawasaki 1000, a rocket at the time. So I follow him home from the dealership, back then they just sold you a bike, he drove it out of Freehold Honda with no bike license, or insurance, he paid cash. So the whole way home, we are doing 30-40mph, when we get to the top of our block I blow by him, figure he can make it home now. I pull in the driveway, and all I hear is his bike motor screaming, he is frozen on the gas, goes flying up the curb, and nails a Christmas tree we had planted on our front lawn. The bike is standing on the handlebars, motor wide open, stuck in the tree, and Willy comes sliding across the front lawn headfirst. My mom and sisters were waiting for us, on the front porch. An hour later we are back at the Dealership, needed handlebars, mirrors, clutch lever, brake lever, etc, he still has the bike, and the dent is still in the gas tank. I don’t think my Mom liked bikes much, God bless her soul.
