My name is Lee. I have been riding off and on since the 60
's. I earned the broken wing patch on June 23rd at 5:32 pm of this year. Some moron in a dodge ram truck turned left in front of me and I hit him doing 45 mph.
I don't remember anything about the wreck, the ambulance ride, or 4 hrs in the emergency room. I was told I kept asking What happen? Where am I? How is she? The she I was referring to was my Low Rider. She was totaled.
I'm introducing my self like this so other riders will pay attention to their surroundings. It can happen in the blink of an eye. When I try to think about the wreck all I can see is the light being green in the direction I was going. As I get closer to the intersection black starts to close in like the end of a Bugs Bunny cartoon.
I'm riding a 2007 FLSTC Heritage Classic I bought with the insurance settlement. I have one more thing to think about and watch out for. I'll post some pictures of the Softail as soon as I get another good camera. My Canon 10D croaked on me.
That's a pretty unique user name, I'll give you that. I, too, have fallen victim to the left turner syndrome. I totaled my first bike that way. Gotta watch out for that every time you ride. Welcome to the forum.
