Newbie just got a sportster

Hey all my name is sean and i just bought a 2000 883 sportster. This isn't my first bike but it is my first harley. I never thought i would be riding a harley at the age of 21.

But anyways it's pearl white with a screamin eagle air cleaner and jet kit. Now it needs to warm up so i can go riding.

Congradulations Sean! Welcome to the forum. You've purchased something that will hold alot of value, for your self and for near future. That's what is different about Japs and Harleys. Japs, they look all the same and Harleys, they all have a uniqueness. No one Harley is the same. Anyways, stay in touch and keep us posted!

Welcome Sean,

Enjoy your Sporty but if you haven't taken the MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) course do your self a favor, take the class. It usually runs less than $100 for 3 days of instruction. It is a fantastic course and since you have a H-D, and are more than likely a HOG member, HOG will reimburse you for $50 in HOG bucks good at any Dealership on parts and service. It is the best way to start out on the right foot.

Good luck and stay safe,

Dave
