+1 for SRV
Is it too late for me to add Stevie Ray Vaughn?
I'm gazing at my autographed poster of him right now! Big
Also his survivor bandmates of Arc Angels (line-up: Tommy Shannon, Chris "Whipper" Layton; also, Doyle Bramhall II, and Charlie Sexton).
I saw Arc Angels play last December at Cliff Antone's club in downtown Austin, TX. Wow what a show!

Some great ones listed here. I'll add Dr. John, Ray Charles, Junior Wells, Jeff Beck, and Eric Clapton to the list.

Take you a glass of water. Make it against the law. See how good the water tastes. When you can't have any at all.
Just sayin..........

Yes, Clapton! His youthful "Bell-Bottom Blues" still brings a rueful grin to my face. They used to find "Clapton is God" graffiti all over England and that was before he even hit his stride. I've seen him several times. Once in a private setting.
I saw Kenny Wayne Sheppard in concert and was truly wowed.
Koko Taylor. Billie Holiday. Poor Little Girl Blue, Janis.
Even when I'm feeling good the blues can take me to that sweet, dark spot.

Paul saw Albert Collins and Roy buchanan in small clubs during the 70's. Two great losses when they died. Cold Cold Feelin reminded me of another great solo Duane Allman did on Boz Scaggs Somebody Lone Me a Dime. Couldn't find a video to link to.

In my opinion SRV was/is the best. Another band I think is kick azz is Indigenous with Mato Nanji. Also Jimi Hendrix of course, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Walter Trout, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Jonny Lang, Z.Z. Top, Johnny Winter
...etc. Also like some older blues/rock bands like Humble Pie, Alvin Lee & Ten Years After, Zepplin, Stones, lots more. Black Crowes are kick azz too in my opinion.
