Utah-Roads question?

I'm planning on heading up through Zion and then Bryce on the way to Sturgis, have seen most of the roads through there, curious about HWY 12 out of Bryce through Grand Escalante up to 24 to catch the I70. How is the this road? Just trying to judge time to make it from Ruby's Inn to Green River, lots of twisties and stuff to see? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Coming out of Zion and once you're on US 89 stop in Glendale at the Buffalo Bistro. http://www.visiteastzion.info/buffalobistro.html

Lot's of twisties and lot's to see would be an understatement on Hwy 12. The road is just plain awesome!

For lunch or just a break I'd recommend the Kiva Koffeehouse just down the hill from the Scenic Overlook between Escalante and Boulder. http://www.kivakoffeehouse.com/

From Boulder up to Torrey is a lot of fun with a lot of nice higher speed sweeping corners and elevation changes.

We've done 12 twice and both times we took a whole day to go from Panguitch to Torrey. There's tons to do and see from Zion on up to Torrey.

Have fun.

Tom, Thanks for the info. That is what I was hoping for, but sometimes from a map, it's hard to tell. Appreciate the stop suggestions, I'll look for them. Thanks again. Dannie

You should try Google Earth, or Google Maps. They'll give you satellite views of any road. You can zoom in and be the judge of it.

Watch your speed in Escalante, Barney Fife likes to target out of state plates.
