Question Work work work

I'm being sent to Denver for a week in March. It's an educational thing at the Marriott Tech Center, near I-25 and I-225, and we'll be staying at the hotel. I have to take the plane, dammit no bike. Is there a decent bar close to there? Taxi's can get expensive, so I'm looking for a place really near by. Thanks!

Actually, winter blows...

ya, down here in the Springs the snow has just stuck around too dam long...I actually got the bike out (last week?) but had severe butt pucker as I rolled across the 5' sheet of ice (packed snow) at the foot of my driveway.

Hey rocket550, we'll be coming up your way in July for Hot Harley Nights, you know it'll be cooking then. This spring reminds me of that scene in Jeremiah Johnson, where he's cooking the rabbit and along comes griz on his snowshoes, and they argue about what month it is. And griz says "springs a long time comin". Griz could be in Colorado, South Dakota, or Nebraska, this year.

Your right about Hot Harley Nights, It'll be hotter 'n hell but at this point I don't care. Should be a good time and the event keeps getting better and better.

ktwillys, Hot Harley Nights has a web page with a lot of info. It's a fund raiser for the Make a Wish Foundation, basically over one weekend. Sioux Falls is a really nice town, and the sponsoring dealer, J & L Harley, is one of the nicest dealerships I've been to. They have a silent auction, casino games style poker run, food vendors, bands, raffles, etc. On Saturday evening they parade all the bikers downtown (4000 last year) and have some streets closed off with a band, beer and food vendors, just a good party. Last year was our first time, we're going back again this summer. It's in early July, we thought is was a good warm-up for Sturgis. No, I'm not affiliated with this event in any way, it's just a good time for a good cause in a good city that made us feel welcome.

Hey Qualuedtk,
Thanks for the Hot Summer Nights plug, it's a huge event in Sioux Falls and EVERYONE is welcome. This event has raised over 1 million dollars for Make-A-Wish and each year it gets better.

On a downer note...we are slated to get 6+ inches of snow tomorrow When will it end!!!

I feel your pain. We are due for 6 to 10 inches of snow in the next two days. I have had enough of this

Don't confuse Hot Summer Nights with Hot Harley Nights, two seperate events. Hot Harley Nights is the BIG party/ride/runs/music event that raises lots of money. What a great event it is. Hot Summer Nights is a Corvette/Harley show, parade, party downtown. Just a one nighter. HHN is all weekend, Friday, Sat, Sun. If you're interested starting calling motels cuz its gonna be packed around here. Sioux City Iowa also has an event called Awesome Biker Nights or Awesome Harley Nights. Also a good time expcept last years bands were much better than this years. Warrant and Firehouse last year! All events can be found on Google, just add Sioux Falls or Sioux City behind the events.
