I have two motorcycles, the other is a 2006 Gold Wing set up for long distance touring: Satellite Radio, auxiliary fuel tank, PIAA 910 driving lights, Valentine 1 radar sniffer and some other sparkles. it's got 43K miles on the ODO. Scheduled maintenance cost for the Wing are mere pennies when compared to the HD.
The FLTRI is a good touring bike, but I'd rather turn it into cash, pay off some bills and keep the GL1800.

if this does'nt see any action soon I would try craigs list.. I bought my 05 last year for 11,500.00 and thought i stole it... here in the mid west this bike would be sold.. fast at that price... I understand the maint. cost and issues.. I would do the same but I just couldnt get comforable on a GW.. I test roce a few GW's as I had the same feeling you did on the cost of up keep.. again good luck with the sale...

Thanks for the tip about posting on Craig's List....only one problem I see....every kid in Tucson will want to take a joy ride on my HD.
Had some action from a couple of wholesalers asking me the usual question:"What's yer' lowest price".
Not interested, I tell 'em -- I ain't giving it away!!
