Advice need for MC Awareness

First I would like to thank this forum for all of the information that I have recieved from you all, you are a great bunch. I don't post often as I don't seem to have a lot information to pass on yet. With that said I need to give a 10 -15 minute safety talk on Motorcycle awarness for my company's May safety meeting. I want to focus on making drivers more aware of motorcycles.
Can anyone give me any suggestions on where I can get some information to pull this off. When I get my presentation finished I am willing to send it out to anyone else that may want to use it.
Thanks in advance

try this.....http://www.msf-usa.org/
if you search the web you'll be able to find all kinds of crash photos, and info, but that will be a good place to start. i did a power point safety class for my last unit at ft hood when i was there. if i can find it i'll send it to ya.

casaba & Apache36 thanks for the links, I'm finding some good info. Apache if you find the power point I would like a copy. All credit will go to you. I'm trying to get the word out to the non bikers to look out for the riders, a lot of needless accidents. If I can help raise the awareness it wil be a plus for all riders.
Thanks again

Tell your audience . . . .

Tell you audience that "Looking" for traffic isnt enough!

Tell them that they must EXAMINE the roadway before pulling out or turning left. EXAMINE both far and close.

I've been analyzing my cycling and driving and came up with the term "Examine" to remind me that the consequences are too great to just look for traffic before trying to get through a hole. EXAMINE seems to be more applicable.

Yeah, it's just a word, but I think it creates more awareness that an otherwise law abiding person could unintentionally cause great injury or death to someone. We hear too often, "I didn't even see him" or "I didn't know he was there". Examining the roadway, both far and close, could cut accidents significantly.

Start thinking "examine" each time you pull up to a stop sign, wish to turn left, or pull out into traffic and see if it doesn't have the same impact on you as it does for me. I'd like to know.

Ken

Thanks Ken R, it makes you think a lot more by just changing one word. Thanks for the advice.

I contacted
MotorLessons@Ricochet.com

He is a member of this forum, he sent me a great riding lesson, I am sure that he could give you some great advice, I don't know the man, but he sent me the lesson in short order, so I would assume that he would be willing to help you out.
