rider skills course on Long Island?

Hi, I am not an expert rider, nor a complete novice. I just got a new ride and am glad to be back on 2 wheels. I am wondering if there are any skill improvement classes/instructors around long island. I know a few MC police officers who have taken some skills courses and they highly recommend them, but the ones they took are taught by fellow LEOS at work. I am smart enough to know that i can use some instruction, and would like to know if anyone has any experience with a good instructor. I am looking to improve my basic skills and learn some new tools to have fun and stay safe.

welcome fellow long islander, there are some courses available, but I think its just local schools.

My suggestion...purchase the Ride Like a Pro DVD, cut some tennis balls in half and PRACTICE the RLAP exercises. Master the exercises one-at-a-time! Each exercise builds on the next one.

If you get the opportunity take the RLAP course.
