Safety Tip: Don't Drink & Ride

Wait until you get home before you sip the suds.
Seen too many bikers choose to ignore this and
sometimes the results are costly.

Many riders would include my FXR in the "bar hopper" group and I have been seen at bars known to cater to riders. But I'm the guy having a soda or tea. A lot of times the ONLY one not drinking.

It's not because I don't want a frosty cold adult beverage, mind you. Man, sometimes I want one really bad, on a hot sunny afternoon. But I decided long ago that I would wait until the bike was parked for the day before I had any alcohol. I've seen quite a few riders wobble out of the bars' parking lot and onto the street into traffic, obviously under the influence.

No lectures. I just think it's a good idea.

Don't drink and ride - Good advice.
Don't drink and drive - That will get you in trouble too.
Don't drink and take medication - Side effects can be bad.
Don't drink and have sex - It never seems to work.

So what do you recommend after boozin it up??

I'm the guy you see riding by the bar with a lot full of bikes. There aren't enough hours in a day to spend them in a bar.

You ever see some fukkin idiot stumble out of a bar and get on his bike? That takes real intelligence.
