Wax the plastic?

Should you wax the plastic on an Ultra? The Fairing, lowers, other molded pieces that cover up whatever or just concentrate on the tank, fenders, and chrome?

I have waxed the plastic parts on my bikes since the 70's.

I do not wax painted parts such as engine cylinders or the heads and the like.

The plastic parts have clear on them so would be fine to wax. Most of todays cars have plastic bumpers and other parts, all of which can be waxed, so it is about the same thing. As stated as long as it is painted - if bare ABS then that is different.

wax them!!! I even wax my FLHX windshield.. Wax on the parts make the bugs come off easier.. I have a white pearl FLHX and boy it shows the bugs !!! I usually just take a warm wet paper towel lightly and follow with a dry soft towel lightly. the bugs just come right off with ease and have never scratched the paint or winshield. wax protects alittle also

You are waxing the paint not the plastic underneath.
