WD40 and a soft bristle tooth brush works great for me.

Pig Spit original. Best stuff on earth for HD black powder coat. Motor looks just like the day I brought the bike home. Just spray on and let it dry. Most HD dealers carry it.

I've never had any luck using any method. I could get it to almost go away, but some of it always stayed permanent. I could get it light, then it will always get darker again after time. Only trade-in worked for me. LOL

50-50 isopropyl alcohol and water. That's what the detailers use to remove stray polish and wax from trim. For the real stubborn stuff, believe it or not.... peanut butter! Wipe a little on, let it sit for a few minutes, wipe off. Really! Figure it must be the peanut oil...

You can always lick it off the wrinkle black instead of wiping it off. I'd recommend making sure the engine is cool first. Seared flesh on cooling fins is considered bad form.

LOL...yeah I suppose I could
I do use the 50/50 solution when buffing.
I just gotta know if the extra crunchy works better than the creamy....

OK, so how do ya get 'seared flesh' off the black wrinkle ???
I missed the warning: "I'd recommend making sure the engine is cool first".
