What's best for getting bugs off the paint?

Well....I had to ride home in the dark last night and that means the bike is covered with bugs. What's the best thing to use to get them off. I just washed and waxed the bike last weekend...so I'm thinking it should clean up easily. Just wondering what have you guys found to be the best thing to get bugs off.

springer- will become famous soon enough
A warm wet towel draped over the stuck on bugs and let soak for a little while then remove towel and a light wash will take them off. I do the same for windshields, no scratching and no chemicals to hurt the windshield.

Bugs?

Just learned this trick a week ago but if you use Bounce Sheets, some other type might work as well, and wet them, they take bugs off paint and windshields as slick as can be. We save them after doing the wash/dry and wouldn't do without them now!

What I found that works quite well is the bug remover that HD sells.

Been there, done that twice. Kept everything in both divorces including sole custody of my daughter.

I just started using simple green, filled up the HD bug remover bottle with it too for when on the road,

Spray it on, let sit for about 5 seconds and wipe off with a microfiber cloth. They come right off.

Im sure it removes the wax over time, but hey it doesn't take much to put a fresh coat of wax every couple weeks on the fairing and lowers

Thanks for the tip. Think I'll give it a try.

A lot of folks swear by Pledge. I just use a spray bottle of water and a clean towel. Works fine. The longer the bugs stay on the harder it is to get them off though.

Before they stopped making them, I bought 2 cases of Armor All Car Wash Wipes. I wish they never discontinued them. They were awesome.

Baby wipes work pretty good too.....

wash your bike within a day of being on the highway they come off very easily i nevver leave them on longer than overnight if you have a good coat of wax on it i find it no problem

I have also heard of Pledge but never tried. Simple green works for me. Like Boomer and 09 says get them off ASAP.
