oil or grease remover HELP!!
Hey brothers I recently bought a Nightster 07 (I love it), it has a few oil or grease stains on the air cover. What do you guys recommend I use to take them out. I'm afraid of hurting the powder grey coat paint. Thanks in advance for your help.

I've had great results with Extreme Simple Green. It's the aircraft-grade Simple Green. It cuts through oil and grease really well and won't damage the finish.

Guys I've tried everything and the stains refuse to come off. I guess I will have to live with it, but I still love my baby even if she's a lil dirty.

Craig,
I don't know what the stain is from, but it looks like maybe oil. There's a few spots on the air cover. Does that powder coat paint stain easy??

I'm surprised because usually WD-40 will easily remove oil stains!!!Maybe it's not oil possibly???As for powder coat paint staining easy,I don't think so!!!I have never seen powdercoat paint stain!!!!

Is this a part you can remove from the bike and clean or is it pretty much hard bolted on?

Did you try a soft bristle tooth brush with the wd40? thats what i use on my wrinkle black if i accidently get some wax or chrome polish on it. It usually comes right off

That's exactly what I use, and it works like a charm...

I tried the soft bristle brush with WD40 and nothing is still there. BTW is on the air cover and on both sides of the crankcase covers.I love my Nightster and only want her to look her best. I wish I knew what caused that stain. I bought the bike with only 165 miles on it for a great price, I hope I could make her shine like new again.
Thanks a bunch, you guys are awesome on this site.
