Touching up pitted chrome headers

The chrome headers on my bike have gotten beat up from road debris. The spots are small and barley noticable until they get wet, which happens a lot here in Louisiana. The pitted areas start to show signs of rust and I am looking for a product to either seal the spots or a chrome paint to cover them. Either product has to stand up to high heat.

Thanks for your help.

Ceramic coating seems to be the way to go these days, but it's not cheap initially...pays off in the long run, tho. Chrome is just too expensive and doesn't hold up in the thin coats used in modern times. Just my 2 cents.
