Vivid black or Denim? If you have Denim stick to soap and water...

Actually just switched to using Meguiars Ultimate Quick Detailer. It works great on glossy paints, chrome and even lexan windshields. I've used a whole myriad of products, this one is just as good as any of the others.

I'll go to bike shows and watch what people use to clean their bikes for the shows. Most use either the old formulation from Meguiars (maroon bottle) or this stuff.

I will say, what use to be the "BOM" was some awesome stuff too, just a pain in the butt to replace the first applicator cloth, as they don't sell it in local stores around here that I have found. I think Captain somebody bought out the "BOM". Haven't bought any in a long while.

The Bom is still around. Captain Richards Best is the new name, but it's the
same owner. Just changed the name. Still works great.

I also use the Meguiars and like it. The Ultimate Quick detailer looks great on
top of a coat of their NXT 2.0 wax.
Meguiars also has a new Synthetic Quick detailer.
Pro series, Meguiars #135.
I found it at Bike Depot.com

It just arrived yesterday and I haven't had a chance to use it yet.

I am a huge fan of Captain Richard's Best, so much so I have become a distributor for it. Not trying to sell it here...but it is a damn good product! Far as the applicator cloth goes...spray it right onto the bike and wipe off with the microfiber cloth or a soft shop (paper) towel works fine too...

Most important thing is the microfiber polishing cloth you can get anywhere, and more important than that is to never dry-wipe your bike, especially black.

Meguiars is great too, though I thought there spray detailer was only so-so...

cleaning question

For the paint, I use all Meguiars Products. Twice a year (Spring & Fall) I use the following:
1) Meguiars Scratch X
2) Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish
3) Meguiars NXT Generation Tech Wax Paste

In between I will use the Meguiars Ultimate Quick Detailer (Maybe 2 - 3 times total).

I am by no means an expert, but have found this to be the best combo for my vivid black so far

Now chrome, that's another story.......

Yup - I like the scratch-x, especially for black! And all I use are the pro-grade buffing/polishing compounds from Meguiars.

And the Captain's works great to 'maintain' the clean in a quick manner.

Back to the Bom

Just want to add, I've been using the Bom, Captain Richards Best,
for 5 years now. I use it almost daily during the riding season.
I use it on everything, powder coated engine, chrome, paint, you name it.
Never had an issue.

Last spring I got a JE Illusions paint job and Josh sent me some Meguiars NXT tech wax.
Since the paint is now cured, I've been trying it out. Very happy with the results.
So I've been using that on the paint only.
