And if you wax them (I do mine once a year - in the Spring), I use the "luster lace" strips.........

Take a waste cotton and deep it in bucket of water with mixed soap and detergent. And squeze and clean the twisted spokes and then leave it for time. After it dry take a another cotton and clean the spoke in dry.

x2 - Best stuff Ive used. I use it while washing then rinse it off. Easy to use around black powdercoated engine parts and will not stain them.

If you have chrome rims there is a solution if you can find it called alumina bright, it's great for chrome... Spray it on, and rinse it off and watch it shine! Best place to find it is at a/c dealers... I detailed cars for years and that was the best product I ever found!

I have chrome spokes that rust. I live near the ocean, and the rust got quite bad in a couple of months. I used those sponges that my wife uses on dishes...You know the ones with the scrubby side? I think they are mede for cleaning teflon or something like that.

Anyways...I got tired of scrubbing the rust off, and I waxed the spokes. Dang, I wished I waxed them the day I bought the bike!
