Mother's Power Ball For Paint

Anyone ever use this product. I always worry about using power buffers like I'm gonna burn through the paint or clear. I just wanted to use it as a wax applicator or polisher. Also wanted to use the mini on my chrome.

I use the mini on my cast wheels. Works great.
I wouldn't use it on my paint.

Faast Ed is an unknown quantity at this point
You can do anything by hand, that you can do with a buffer (as far as waxing or polishing is concerned),..... without the risk of over heating a spot and ruining your day.

Clean micro fiber towels and the right waxes and cleaners by hand, is all you need, period.

The only time I would even consider a power buffer is on a large job like a car, and the paint would need to be pretty darn oxidized for me to pull the extension cords out.

Also: Ever see the overspray that comes from a buffer? You will be cleaning specks forever.

Ditto on all the above....There is no way a powerball, or any other buffer can do near the detailed job, and safely, that you can do by hand. When you do it by hand you can feel the exact pressure you need to apply and you can also buff that final coat of wax to a mirror finish..and then do it even lighter.
My bike was painted in '96...HOK by "Colormania"...and it is still like new because of good care...and quality wax.

Mothers Powerball, along with Mothers aluminum polish, works great on my 13 year old PM polished aluminum wheels. Keep it away from your paint set.

You could try one of those buffers they have at the auto parts store...run about $20 and come with a couple of different bonnets. You won't have to worry about burning through with those...they have just a little more power than doing by hand.
