Rust on Chrome

I was wondering what products people have used to get rust off of chrome. My chrome has rust and oxidation on it.

depends on how bad the rust is. If it's deep and pitting the metal you're screwed. If it's only a bit of surface rust any decent metal polish will get it off. Try Mothers or Never Dull....

You will probably think this is ridiculous until you try it. Pick up some 0000(four zeros) steel wool from the paint dept of your favorite hardware store. This is very fine steel wool, it will remove surface rust, oxidation, road grime, boot scuffs, etc from chrome without scratching as long as you rub gently. Try it, you will be amazed.

agreed on the steel wool.

and--- a friend showed me a trick, he wadded up some aluminum foil, nothing applied on it, and started rubbing a surface rusted muffler, in about 2 minutes, the mufler sparkled like new!!!!!

dont ask how it works, i dont know.
