Anyone use a lift from Northern Tool?

I stopped in the local Northern Tool yesterday and saw a 1,500 lb motorcycle lift for $70! Ground clearance was 5 1/8 inches and vertical lift was 16 3/8 inches or something similar.

Does anybody have experience with this lift? Brand same was Red somethingorantoher. I'm a bit cautious here because similar lifts normally sell for $200 and up and I'm afraid I might get what I pay for.

Heres a link to it: http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/w...6249_200326249

Thanks.

I am thinking about picking this lift up but have read (can not remember where now) that the wheel vise is not good, what do you think of it and also is the lift stable with the bike on it at full height.

Thanks for the info

Just looked at the pic on the link to northern tool. It is the exact same lift I got at Checker Auto a couple of years ago. IIRC that is about what I paid for it. Has worked very well for me with my Heritage Softail. I like it!

I have the same lift from northern tool. The only problem I have with my bike being lowered, I have to put a block of wood under the back tire to get the lift under it. Not a big problem. The lift works great for me. I picked mine up on sale and didnt pay that much for it. I might have I dont remember starting to get the CRS.

I had this one too and upgraded to the one with the better wheel chock, well worth it. I can drive the bike on, get off and tighten up the wheel chock and don't have to worry about it tipping over. Then secure it with tie downs.
