Service question

I got the recall for the re-tune a while back. It said take it to the selling dealer. Is this required? I bought from a dealer that is not near due to the fact that he had what I wanted in stock and at a better price. I was going to check with the local dealer to see if they will do it but haven't gotten around to it. Should they take care of it ya think?

If it is a Factory Recall, or bulletin, you can take it back to any Factory Dealer. If the local dealer does not take it, you can contact Harley directly. California has a state board to call also.
If it is just something that your selling dealer did, you need to take it back to them.

OK, good deal. It is a factory recall. I will give my local a try first. I buy everything from them anyway except the bike.

OK, I ran down to the local dealer at lunch and he said no problem bring it in. Saves me about 100 miles one way.
