Neighbor Passed Away
I apologize folks for bringing this here, please feel free to disregard it (I just need a place to get this out). My next door neighbor, one of the best guys that have EVER walked the planet passed away last night from an apparent heart attack. I just got the call from my wife.
A long-time veteran of construction, he was always willing to help anyone in the neighborhood - especially a young couple who didn't have much. He was rattled with spine injuries and had several operations but ended up with a great limp. Even with that, he helped so many - selflessly helping all. He was a true testiment to what is great in the human soul.
Don, I salute you in your promoted to a better place. God is great and accurate as although he has taken you from a world of pain, you were greatly loved and admired. Godspeed my friend and neighbor.
Thanks folks - I appreciate any prayers that you can give for the family (a wife, a daughter, and a son).
Brian

Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers for him and his family. I am still having trouble getting through this - kinda feeling like it's a dream and I'll see him getting outta his truck. So many people get a second chance after a heart attack - my selfish side really wishes that he got one too.
Life is precious and you never know when your time has come. I am sure Don didn't realize when he woke on Thursday morning that it would be his last. I will be sure to take that lesson with me in times of pressure and I am stressed.

Very sorry to hear that, Low Rider. You know, believe it or not, I like a lot of the things that come with age; but that part sure isn't one of them. Seeing more friends, relatives and neighbors pass away, sure is tough to take some times.
Thoughts and prayers sent.
