John Paul Barta
Just got word on this Christmas eve that John Paul Barta stationed in Iraq was killed by a roadside bomb. He worked for me and his brother still works for me. May he rest in peace and may his ultimate sacrifice not be in vain!!!

John's brother Billy has worked for me for over 3 and 1/2 years , he is taking it extremely hard. Especially since it was his (Billy's) birthday yesterday, the same day.
Man I feel so empty, and dont know what to say to Billy.
on edit, makes my problem.......nothing

Unexpected acts of kindness go a long way. Sending flowers and going to the funeral.
As for what to say, I always just listen when someone wants to talk and try to figure it out from there. It sounds like you're already doing that.

Thoughts and prayers coming from here. Can't help John, but Billy needs all he can get. Tell him that there are many complete strangers out there that are thinking of him....and that his brother is remembered in the highest regard.

Real sorry to hear of this my heart and prayers goes out to his family. I think just being there for them now to listen and comfort them as best you can is all you can do. Sorry for your loss too.
