A fellow rider and co-worker
Finally, it is with deep regret that I share with you the news we have lost another co-worker to an untimely accident. This afternoon, I received a very disturbing call that Captain Stuart Curry [RIC base] was killed last night in a motorcycle accident in Rockhill, SC. For those of you who knew Stuart you know he was unerring, admired and well respected by all. He will truly be missed.
Stuart was 29 and is survived by his wife Jennifer and their baby, Trevor James age 10 months. Stuart had been with Chautauqua since July 1999. I know each of you will join me in prayer for Stuart and his family in their time of mourning. It is never easy to lose someone we know and admire. I find it especially difficult when I think of a person, like Stuart who was so very young and with so much to live for; with a new and growing family. It is hard to understand, but it is in these difficult times that we must place our faith in God and family for strength. Let us offer our prayers for Stuart’s soul and for the strength of his wife, son and family.
