RIP Farrah Fawcett

She was the sex symbol of the early 70's. I was teacher's pet in 3d grade and I'm sure it's because of how often I told her she looked like Farrah Fawcett.

I'm sorry to see so much of my childhood disappearing. Farrah is just one more part of that.

That's too bad. Man, that kicks loose some memories. I was in MCRD San Diego in early 1977 and somebody got one of her famous posters mailed to him. The Drill Instructor let him put it up on our "hog board." She was with us for the entire time, even made the move to Pendleton for rifle range and ITS.

Not bad for a woman who must have snorted a truck load of coke over her lifetime.

Hey Bluz, you weren't far behind me! I went in late 76. How can one have anything but fond memories of Edson Range?!!! Ok, well maybe swimming in the sand wasn't so fun. (Something tells me they don't do that to recruits anymore).

Nah, probably not. Remember trying to fit the whole platoon into those little "pits" in front of the barracks? Good times (well, maybe not). But Farrah was hanging in the squad bay there.

I think a link to her playboy spread at 50 y/o is in order.

You youngsters. Late 1973 for me.

I'm pretty sure Farrah was the first nip showing poster I ever had. May that sweetheart rest in peace.

Just curious. Do you have personal knowledge of her drug use.
I don't remember any stories but then again my memory is not that good.

I loved her too. She was an icon. I was trying to explain to my kids how huge she was when I was a teenager. R.I.P.

I remember the "hog board" too at PI. Sorry to hear of her passing. She was a doll.
