Dad - you are missed!
My Dad died unexpectedly on the 24th of February 2009 after a brief illness. He was the most grounded, unassuming, honest and God fearing man I have ever met.
The only bike he ever drove was his Cushman when he was a young man. He did ride on the back of his brother's Harley numerous times in the late 40's when they would go hill climbing.
I miss him terribly, especially the daily phone calls we shared. As he was getting close to 80, I thought once in a while about how hard I would take his leaving of this world. The pain is much more than I could even imagine.
Dad, you were so special to me as well as to the many others who knew you. I look forward to the day I will see you again.
Your son.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Please accept my condolences. You sound as if you were a good son, and I'm sure he felt well loved.

And how often I take my parents for granted. They are ALWAYS there for me. My condolences for your loss!

My condolences to you. God only loans us men like your father to make this a more liveable place. Then he brings them to be with him.
I lost my mother a couple years ago and I still deeply feel the loss. May God fill that emptyness with the joy of the times you had.

My condolences to you and all who loved your dad. You all are very lucky folk to have such a wonderful man in your life. I lost my dad last year and I know some of your pain, and I pray as you remember him you always think of those great times you shared together.

Sorry for your loss. I know there are no words that will fill that hole in your heart. Just remember the good times and think how much you enjoy spending time with your own family/kids and how little time it really is. Make it all worth it. Again sorry for the loss.

Very sorry for your loss. I was only 31 when my Dad died. Even though its been over 24 years ago, some days it hits me like it was yesterday. I guess you never get over it, you just learn to live with it.

Just getting around to reading here. Sorry for your loss, HD.
My dad died in this month, on my birthday, three years ago. And right now memories of him are very strong again.
We're lucky to have parents whom we were able to love, I think. And he is frequently "with me" still.
Thinking of you and your grief. . .
