My folks are in their 80s now. Things we don't like to think about. Sorry for your loss.

I'm sorry, too, to hear of your mom's passing. My experience was a bit different. My mom had Alzheimer's and suffered from it for longer than I thought anybody could. She was diagnosed in 1988 when she was 80 and didn't die until the day before her 95th birthday. But her quality of life had ended long before she died. She was kept safe and was cared for during that time, but she really wasn't cognizant of who or where she was. She was comforted and unafraid, though, because of her care givers. Sometimes death is a tragedy, and sometimes it's a blessing. Still, I'm sorry for your loss.

Mhonn, I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. I lost mine on September 29 of this year and the grief is still so raw and fresh. I hope that your family will draw close together and support one another during this time of grief. It's so incredibly painful to lose the person who gave you life.

Any words I could type would be insufficient.
The best I can offer instead is my sorrow for your loss.

I'm sorry for your loss. Mothers are so close to our hearts losing them really hits hard. I lost mine in 2002. My family will never be the same. She was the glue that held us all together.

So sorry for your loss, I lost mine almost 11 years ago and it still hurts at times. Been worried about dad as he's 84 and starting to slow down.
