Sgt. Nick Romano, USMC, was a "Shadow" UAV Operator (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operator) in VMU-1 3RD MAW MAGTFTC.

Among his awards were the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Sea-Service Deployment Ribbon w/ 2 stars, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, Letters and Certificates of Appreciation.
This was another American Hero lost in his prime. He was killed riding his motorcycle by a careless driver that pulled out in front of him.
