Boston 1952-2007

Andrew Boston, met his fate on the night of August 3rd 5 miles outside the city of Castlegar BC on the unforgiving Crows Nest Highway #3.
He hit an elk.
He was to meet us at Creston BC where we all gather at this time every year for a small run.

A good man, provider for his children and a loyal long time close friend and neighbour. We've spent countless times together wrenching, bsing, helping each other out with $hit that life threw at us.

I am in Castlegar as I write this, dealing with RCMP and Coroner paperwork, clearing his RoadGlide of personal possessions etc, etc...

Ride hard my brother, for now you have an eternal opportunity to roam.
We will meet again.

Pete

I spent the long weekend doing something I dreaded but knew I must do.
Got in my truck and made my way to Castlegar.
Buddy's broken up RoadGlide was collecting lotsa dust and dollars from storage.
It's been there since August 3rd.
His widow figured she was strong enough now...
While I was there, I spent some time at the site. Bought his favorite beer and knocked a few back, by the side of the ditch.
The drive back was beautiful but long.
Much longer than I wanted it to be

It sits in my garage now.
Filthy and broken.
