Women (her first riding video)

I was following my OL in the family wagon with the kiddies in tow while she was out riding today so I snapped a few pics and shot some (shaky) video. I put it into MovieMaker for some grins. She's a big Def Leppard fan so I put it all to Women from thier Adrenalize [ edit: Hysteria CD ] album.

This is a link to the .WMV Windows media streaming video file, it is a 2:56 second clip and about 9MB so I recommend a broadband connection.

10.2 MB by my computer, great video, thank you very much, and congratulations to your wife; I have sent the link to my wife who is also interested in learning to ride.

Good, safe positioning at the traffic lights, did you teach her that?

Hold on, I've got the "thong leaning over the handlebars" shot around here somewhere. Hmmm, can't seem to find it. Dang. Sorry.

Sorry, 10+ MB. She took the safety course from some good old-school guys and came back ready for the street. After that we have logged a little over 1000 miles with her out front and me following. She goes out alone occasionally too. We've been doing some highway work recently and she'll get out in the left lane and do 60 now. After each ride we usually sit around and talk about different parts and strategies for surviving. It really helps. One of us will bring up something like "Did you see that lady trying to make that right when I was hidden behind that truck?" and we'll go over how to handle that like where to put the bike to be seen, what gear to be in, where your hands are, and what's the plan if the person pulls out. So I didn't teach her much, more like we practice together since you can always work on improving your survival rate.

She is about 5' 4" in her cop boots. Her Sporty is a 1200 Low that we lowered even further with Progressive shocks. It's pretty slammed.

That is really cool.

Thanks for sharing!
