New Here
I ride a 06 Softail Deluxe. I haven't been riding long a couple of months 2 1/2 years ago, then I hurt my knee at work and quit riding. Sold my sportster and now, 2 1/2 years later I bought my Deluxe and I've only been riding since mid-August. So needless to say I'm still shaky. Glad I found this site though.

I just joined. Glad to see you have a woman's forum.
I just took my longest ride, only 40 miles, but have been trying to increase my endurance.
My husband lowered the Sportster for me, and he has a Triumph. I ride mostly solo because we have to get a sitter for my Mom, 87, when we ride together.
Ride safely,
Wendy

Hi Wendy, Welcome aboard. I too am working on my endurance. Coincidently my longest one way ride was 40 miles too. Glad you joined us here. What kind of Sportster do you ride?

This forum is hard to find in the forum listing. The Fng sound like a bad word. Anyway, I am an oldie, learning to ride at 62 on a Rebel. We traded our boat for a 2000 883 which my husband upgraded to 1200. I have been riding this 1 1/2 month. I just like riding whatever the bike brand. I wave at all riders, even a little girl waving from the yard. I had trouble getting 600 miles on the Rebel before I retired from teaching last Jan. After that I rode about every day here in Florida; except during hurricanes.
Good to see other women riding. Thanks for all the welcomes.
Wendy

Cathy from Bean Town!!
New to this site and I enjoy reading eveyone's comments!! I've had a 91 sportster,97 dyna, 98 Flht Classic and currently ride an 03 roadglide. Been riding well over 20 years now between dirt bikes and street. I'm form Boston so most of my riding is through the North East area. I've been a roadcaptain for 6 years with HOG and now Lead roadcaptain with another club. I just made Sturgis plans for 2006. My first time riding out West and I can't wait!! Hope to see some of ya riding through the Blackhills... Cathy

Completely new to everything, including riding...but am loving it so much! Live in Oregon, full time Mom....I just joined the site (have never posted on any site before so I'm a bit nervous!) with my new man to learn more about riding, bikes and meet new people. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival our new "baby"...an '06 Street Bob...and hopefully will learn to ride solo eventually.....Laura
