Lady Riders?
Any new lady riders on the board? Not necessarily new to riding but new to this board. Post and tell us about yourself.

Kinda sad nobody has responded to this lately. The Lady Bikers Lair has dwendled to nothing! Where are all the lady riders at? I feel like the only chick that visits this board on a regular basis. I know guys can be obnoxious, but you learn to deal with it .

I kind of posted this expecting no response...lol I've been on this board for 3 years now and there are very, very few women here. Just thought I would see if I could bring any lurkers out into the open but I guess not.

You know there's more ladies on this board than just me and you. If the ladies want "respect", and I say that loosely, they need to participate more. Or should I say, get involved. If they don't undertand anything or need help, a question is all it takes. Might get some sarcasm, but most the guys here are very helpful. I've gotten a lot of info from this board. What's funny is that the guys I hang out with are a little surprised I understand what they are talking about, when it comes to bikes. They ask what I think, I tell them, and they accept that. It's pretty cool to fit in...

Hi Ladies! Sorry I haven't been in here sooner. I co-own a Harley performance shop in the Detroit area so I'm usually in the tech boards. Kinda nice in here - a little more estrogen! Anyhoo, I've been riding for about 10 years. It all started when I won my Sportster from a local radio station (yes, real people really do win those things!).
Now that I know you're here I'll be sure to check in here more often.

Amy, glad you could join the VTF! That bike you have is sweet! Winning that ride is a great way to start a new chapter in your life. Buying my Sportster was a whole new change for me. And for the better! Great website, btw...
Another thing, I notice you drag race your bike. What's your best time? Stay in tune and keep us posted,

Hi Amy,
A few years back, one member in CA purchased a new VROD. The next weekend he won another VROD!
I'm patiently waiting my turn
regards,
wyo

Hi Carrie! I've only been to the track a handfull of times, but so far my best time has been 12.07 seconds @ 112 mph. That was without a wheelie bar, and everything else was set up just the way I ride it on the street all the time. I have a wheelie bar now, just no time to get to a track to practice. Hopefully I'll get to go to at least one event this year - I really want to get an 11-second pass! I know the bike can easily do it if I can just learn to launch it and hold on. I'll let you know when/if I get to a track this year. Have you ever raced? It is addicting!

No, not in a competative situation. But I have done a few red, yellow, green stop lights with family and friends . Just can't compete with the big bores or the V rods!

Hi, fellow female riders! Nice to see someone posting in here for a change! I'm on the VTF all the time, but seems like nothing much happens in here, and there are only a few of us that hang-in-there with the "tough" guys!
Any of you have prescription riding glasses like Panoptix, etc... I'm thinking about getting some when I upgrade my prescription in a couple of weeks. I need the foam insert, and want as much side visibility as possible. I'd also like them to be the polarized changing ones. Thanks.

no, don't have panoptix. I've wondered about those myself but the cost has always been a factor. Definately go with the polarized. I won't ever have a regular pair of sunglasses without polarization ever again.
