Do you wrench?

Ok, so I've got a thread like this going on another forum and I'm interested to know how many ladies out there wrench on their own bikes.

I have worked on cars before and I am not afraid to get dirty, but it seems like I have treated my bike with kid gloves afraid to touch it. My husband is an "I don't have the time or desire to do it so I'll take it to the dealership or a mechanic" kind of guy so I don't get any help there.

I can, and have, done the simple things like put on the highway bars and pegs and I will put on my license plate relocation kit when I get it.

I recently bought a Clymer manual for the bike and have been researching changing the oil. I figured I'd start there since it needs to be done.

So my question to the ladies on this site...do you wrench? Did you learn by trial and error or do you have someone who can show you what to do?

Suggest you get the HD Service manual and the HD Parts manual. IMO, much better than Clymers I've used. Parts manual is great because you get exploded views of things.

I agree.. get those manual because I am pretty sure that those manual can help you to explore many things.
