Triumph Rocket 3 Classic
Hello all,
I have been shopping for a while to find a great touring/cruising motorcycle that suites my style, budget etc...I have looked at Harley Davidson, BMW, Yamaha, Suzuki and now Triumph. Truely great bikes all. Today, I took a 2006Triumph Rocket Classic out for a spin and was dazzled by the performance and handeling. I don't know a whole heck of alot about the product. So I was hoping to solicit some feedback from anyone who knows.
Thanks in advance and I wish everyone a GREAT holiday season.

Looks like neither of you guys/gals gives a hoot 'bout anything other than H-D -, That's fine, Harley Davidson is a good product as are all the other manufacuters I listed, and then some.
If you want to chat about it - lets go

If you have the chance. Do it. 2300 cc's, lot's of torque, great balance, comfort, smooth shifting and fuel injected. I would switch the exhaust for more hp and noise.

Decidedly Different
If you want a bike that hauls majorass and you can get past the looks, then the Triumph is for you. A buddy of mine works here in So Cal for a Local Triumph/Victory/Ducati dealership, and in discussion he told me he straight smoked some sportbike entering a freeway onramp and way further on....Says it has gobs of torque and rides nice for being a pretty heavy bike. Another british buddy has one and rides occasionally with us, he loves it. That said...I can't get past the styling. To me, It's one of the UGLIEST bikes ever built...Not for me. Rates right up there with the Boss Hoss in esthetics (or lack of). But what do I know...I ride a HD. Just my .02¢.

I agree, the looks are a little off. Speaking of Boss Hoss, I was over a friends house today to find out he just bought an '05 with 2900 miles. Cost him $25,000. Big, Big bike.

I was not trying to be a smart ass, just thought you would get more feedback in a fourm dedicated to the brand.

You would think that they could have taken such great engineering and put it into a more attractive package...but they did not!! The bike's sales have pretty much diminished so I hear...mostly due to it's looks. Re-sale I also hear is horrible...due partly to it's lackluster sales...due to looks!

It's hard to design a good looking bike around that lump of an engine. I give them credit for not doing another Harley wanna-be like they do in the Land of the Rising Sun. That said, I think the bike looks pretty decent other than the bear claw looking intake manifold on the left side. If I had one I'd be looking at ways to customize it and improve the looks. It already has the performance.

I think the bike is bad-ass! I love the style and I like the uniqueness about it. It's just very different but very cool at the same time IMO.
The power doesn't hurt either.
