Thumbs up Vance & Hines for V-Star 650

Hi!

We just installed a set of Vance & Hines Cruzer Pipes on my GF´s ´05 650 V-Star Custom. I can absolutely recommend these pipes.

Installation was a breeze (except that I broke off the ball head on my Allen wrench trying to break loose the bolt holding the stock muffler).

Fitment is impeccable, the chrome is great and the sound is very nice. It gives an amazingly low rumble at idle considering the fairly small engine and it has a nice "hot-rod" or "race" sound when you get on it.

We didn´t change the aircleaner and didn´t rejet. There is absolutely no decel popping or any other sign of lean jetting- the bike runs great!

Thumbs up for the V&H Cruzer pipes!

Ride Safe

about the jetting

those pipes are new but they will break in and when they do it will start to lean itself out. you don't need to change the air cleaner but the jets are a must. the rear cylinder will run the hottest and will require a different jet then the front. the other thing is that the pilot jets should be changed as well because that's what you use while at highway speeds. normally 2 to 3 above stock. i hope you find the information useful and those pipes really wake that engine up. keep the shiny side up

Talking one other thing

your going to take the air reactor system off or plug it up because it was cause a lean condition because thats the nature of that beast. you'll have to pipes going into the exhaust side of the head follow their lines and plug it at the pump
