Suzuiki M109R
Buddy just ordered one, it should be here in a few weeks. Any input, comments or suggestions I can pass along to him? Here's a link to the Suzuiki site: http://www.suzukicycles.com/Products...7/Default.aspx
Thanks
Dan

Pretty cool bike for the money. They are much "fatter" than I had expected after seeing one and sitting on it. The tank is very wide.
Nice bike though..

I think the bike looks the goods. Chris Vermulean (Aus Moto GP rider) rides one when he is home in Australia. Too many curvy roads where I live!

Well, it arrived and he has gotten in a few rides between work and other responsibilities. I'm a HD kinda guy, but Daymn it is a wicked looking bike! He says it has tons of torque down low, and he is really enjoying it.
He's now looking for a cruise control to put on it (not just a throttle lock) Anyone one know if this is possible, Suzuiki or aftermarket???

there is a simple way to make one on the m109r for about 5 bucks
its pretty much a copy of the h.d. thumb screw type
hole already in perfect spot needs drilled and tapped then use a chrome air cleaner nut
(the small one) try google search for it (I did it and it works sweet)

Actually, it's a V-twin site.
Since there is a Metric section to this site, I don't see the issue with them talking about the 109 here. It's not like they brought this up in the V-rod section.
Give it a rest.

I don't care for the looks. I am not saying that no one should like it, just that I do not personally care for it.
I know that more funky, weird, and down-right fugly exhaust systems are coming as noise, emmissions, and performance issues evolve, but I am not looking forward to the day when they all wind up like that.

Actually, it is a V-Twin site that used to be a Harley Davidson site... several years back the previous owner was threatened by HD's gang of lawyers and the name was changed.
Not that it really matters... pretty sure everyone is welcome here, no matter what they ride... I think arealinvestor was being funny or at least that's what I got out of the "LOL"
Nothing wrong with a little good natured ribbing...
