Dangerous Radial Hallcraft wheel?

Hi Everyone, I Am New To Your Forum. I Have A Question, will A Hallcraft 80 Radial Spoke Wheel Be Dangerous To Run On The Front Of My Roadstar? The Road Star Weighs 750-800 Lbs.its Heavy, About The Same As The Roadking. I Already Bought A 16" X 3 ", But I Read An Old 2002 Report From One Of Your Members Rear Wheel Coming Apart, although It Had A Firestone Tire That Shredded. Should I Not Install This Wheel? I Use Metzler Tires.please Replay, thanks.

I believe American Wire Wheel was bought by Dayton. The original problem wheel was the AWW Super Spoke radial wheels. There are plenty of reports by the NHTSA and AMA regarding that original crap design. Wrong materials and poor design and assembly caused a major problem. The Hallcraft is one I haven't heard anything derrogatory about but the best thing to do is to call them and find out what it's rated for. As with any spoke wheel, routine owner inspection and maintenance is advised.
