fork allen bolt spinning

Back with another question for my sons bike. We're changing the fork seals and allen bolt in bottom of leg is spinning. I remember getting past this dilemma 20 yrs back but forgot how. This is an 86 ex500. Forks are off the bike, I got the top cap and c clip off while forks were on the bike, now I'm trying to get the tube seperated from the leg but allen head bolt keeps spinning. I'm thinking an electric impact with allen key but for some reason I don't think I would find an allen key long enough to reach into allen bolt.Help.

First, I would put the fork spring back in & cap back on.. That applies the pressure to help hold the damper from spinning.

Then try an allen, if it tries to still spin.

Then you have to cut an allen (make a tool) to have a long enough one for yer electric impact, hit it quick & it should come out..

Always loosen the allens first, then un-load the springs & disassemble..

they make long a socket/allen and use the impact.

Thanks for the help, managed to get an air impact and allen bolt out and all taken apart now whats the trick to getting the seal reseated into the leg?
