Looking for 650 Yamaha
I am looking for a 650 Yamaha. Running, preferably with spoked wheels. Cream-puff not needed, and also on the cheap.
Anybody??
Scott

If you looking for the vertical twin I use to have one it was a nice machine. Might try craiglist or ebay.
Theres a 81 XS 650 on ebay for 570.00 if that's what your looking for might be some more if'n you look.

Not a source for the bikes, but there is a site called The Chopper Underground that is full of info and knowlege about many bikes, including the 650. Many project bikes. It requires registration (free). I like the site a lot.

My XS suddenly stopped running at the border Roumania-Yugoslavia, not the best place to run into trouble at the time of dictator Ceaucescou.
Oil consumption was terrible. Aesthetical beautiful engine. Nice high shoulder rims.
If you want a street-tracker, wait for the XR 1200 Sportster, I have one.

That one would be too nice to change.
