Found Another
To all its been a slice riding with you all, but I found another bike that is more fun to ride. I purchased a BMW K1200LT and I think its the best bike ever. If any one ever gets the chance to ride one, do so and you to will agree. See you on the road.

Don't let the screen door hit you on the way out. More fun to ride I think not.
Get some pink shirts now and spend some time in the keys

Congradulations on the new bike. I had one of those one time. They are great handling machines. If I do not get this sorry Delphi EFI system worked out soon, I may join you on a R1200RT. Have fun and ride safe.

A friend of mine backed into a huge rock at the end of his driveway last fall with his BMW K1200LT. Damaged the fender and broke the tail light. Expensive to fix but his biggest compliant was BMW would not give him the paint code for his bike.
He ended up having to pay $80 to have the color analyzed for a match. He was livid. Maybe BMW wanted him to have them paint it at their cost, I'm not sure.
Now the shop that did the painting does not want to give the paint code to my friend. And this is after he paid them to find the correct match. I believe he is still trying to get that code from them.
Other than that he loves the bike. Bet he looks out for that rock in the future.

QUIKBIKE.........Looks as if some one has to prove to others about their manhood. Is that the reason you are riding an HD? Afraid that some one might find out your secrets, that you spend a lot of time in the "keys" and have a load of "pink" shirts? Enjoy riding none the less.

The Beemer is a nice bike. It's a shame it's a one or the other situation for you, but I know the feeling. I have a K1100LT as well as my FLHTPI and I'm going to be selling the BMW shortly - too much to insure both. Both great bikes and totally different riding experiences. Each brand has it's fanatics and it's detractors but in the end they are both alot of fun to ride. Have fun on the Flying Brick.

I think the main thing is just the riding. I have owned many bikes over the years, and I don't have a problem with any of them really. Just enjoy the ride...

Here you must be a hero to buy a HD bike
BMW 1200 LT 23000 Euros = 35000 US $
HD ULTRA CLASSIC 30000 Euros = 46000 US $
And you must add the "harley tax" to have a nice bike

K1200lt
Renzoman, great bike, congrats!! My best bud has one and he has had a few "issues" with it.....Slow speed manuevering because it's "top heavy", once it gets going it's a "dream to drive". as we all know HD stands for hundreds of dollars...Some of the maintenance can only be done by BMW (special tools); Bite my wallet,(I can ask and find out what that maintenance is)....he also goes through a pair of tires a season and he's not a hard rider,6-7,000 miles a year another friend has the same bike and goes through 2-3 pairs of tires and he puts about 20-25,000 miles a year on his bike, something about the wheel design.
Not knocking the bike just sharing info (opinions) from two guys who I know own them. Oh ya one of them is about to come over to the darkside (Harley), I've been working on him. Anyway enjoy the ride, hope it works out for you. CSM-H
