why can't DOOFs get private forum
like the "Enter at Your Own Risk"
i think most folks hit the home page, hit NEW POSTS and cruise the site that way (i right click and "open in new window" any interesting posts, and keep my spot on the new post list that way)
but it would be nice for those guys to do their own antics in thier own space, and not detract from the forum by being hidden.
???

The Doofs are valuable members of our VTF community. They have been given their own forum so as not to clutter up the others with their antics. While their new post do show up on "New Posts" there isn't anything that can be done about that. The best thing you can do is avoid the "New Posts" list and go to the main forums menu and navigate from there. That is what I do and it works best for me. That way, I only see the forums I am interested in, not ALL the new posts in forums I have no interest in.
Give it a try. I think you will like doing it that way.

Who said we detract...
Personally, I think you detract from my experience... I just choose not to let it affect me.
Maybe you should just discipline yourself not to open our threads... course, that would take a Herculean effort.

You know what I really hate?
Having to see all those Softail posts when I hit the new posts button.
Burns me up, I tell ya'.
Don't none of you real mods kick this thread down into our sub-basement this time, eh?

I've been on this site for almost 3 years. I've been engaged in riding, tech and off topic subjects. When I click new posts, I bypass the ones I'm not interested in.
My major complaints with the anti-Doofs are:
1. Unlike many posters, the Doofs ride thousands of miles to see each other and get a picture with a highway 43 sign or any other reason to ride. Isn't that what motorcycling is all about?
2. Unlike many posters, we engage in a camaraderie that is unheard of in most motorcycle circles.
3. Unlike many posters, we are almost all financial contributors to VTF.
4. Unlike many posters, we have a significant amount of posts that, not only include Doof stuff, but tech support and other important information.
5. Unlike many posters, we are VTF sponsors.
Most of the complainers are none of the above. Therefore,..I see them as complainers that neither contribute financially or otherwise to the site...Just whiners,..who'd never say anything to our face.

It is nice that you are proud of your group's camaraderie and extolling the virtues of your club is fine. What I do not understand is why you feel the need to contrast yourself with other posters on this site that you have been posting with since long before Steve's typo. It is really unnecessary. There are plenty of posters that contribute just as much while not belonging to The Doofs, MC.

I would call you a doof to your face anytime.
Some people just get uptight for no reason at all.
