Faaker See, just got home from there.

Hi,

Three of us took the ride down to Faaker See, Austria, for the annual rally there, and had a great time. We spent 3 nights getting down there, stopping in Luxembourg, Frieburg (Black Forest), and Innsbruck, before getting to the rally. The ride down was great with a little rain on the way to Luxembourg, we rode through lots of tunnels, and over the Grossglockner pass in Austria. Then spent 3 nights at the rally, and also took a ride out to Solvina and Italy, whilst there.

The rally is spread out around a lake, so there are maybe 6 sites at different parts of the road around the lake. Part of the road is one way, and they run a shuttle bus from the town, and 4 others just driving around the lake.

The ride home we put the bikes onto a train that went through a mountain range, then rode of the other end towards Munich. Our last stop was Koblenz, Germany along side the River Rhine. From there it was a boring day on the Motorways back to get the ferry home to England. In total we rode 2.100 miles, and had no problems with the 3 Harleys.

If you have any questions about Faaker See, please ask. This is just a quick run through.

95 FXST is on a distinguished road
I went to the Super Rally in the area in 96. I'd have to look to see exactly were. It was like a big toilet bowl surrounded by the mountains. It rained and made a bike mud pit. Good times.

I have wanted to go the last couple years, but work keeps getting in the way. Post some pictures if you have them.
