NEW Indian Motor Cycles
We have a New Indian Motror Cycle dealership in our town now and if you havn't seen them yet they are bad to the bone. 105 cubic inch with valve covers that look like pepsi bottle caps. Belt drive with no visible shocks on the rear, clean looking. They are very well built and still have that indian look of yester year. Beautiful paint jobs.
I dont think I'll go out and order one, they start at $30.000 and go up. If I was daddy mega bucks though, I would love to have one here in the carport beside my Roadking.
I guess we will have to make a new forum for the Indian tour bikes.
I am interested in how they perform beside a 103 TW wide open throttle.

MMM indian back again didnt they go bust again a few years back??
They claim on there website they are americas first motorcycle!!
But the test of time shows they are not the longest lasting nor the most diversified vtwin manufacturer.
And for $30k Us i'd hate to imagine how unaffordable they will be in oz.
May go broke once again at those prices.
If only i won Lotto.................

A quote from their web site.
"a machine designed for a class -- not a mass"
I hope they do well and like them, great looking bikes and not what everyone else is riding. made in the good ole U.S. of A. isn't a bad thing either

A few weeks ago I went to their open house (huge turn out). The bikes are very nice. I think they need a entry level bike, or atleast build some without all the extras. They come factory with brembo brakes, chrome front end, braided cables, ect. I believe they said 72hp and 90tq. 105 ci with a Baker 6 speed trans. They have produced 50 bikes total (2 a day) at open house date.
If I was spending that kind of money I would look at a screamin' eagle bike.
I pass by the dealership often, and never see many cars in the parking lot.

Damn Scott, why do you have a cartoon girl with your bike when you had a real playboy playmate butt nakid on it and have a thousand pictures to choose from? I know not all of them are with her in the nude...just asking.
And I have to agree, for the money a SE would be in my plans versus a Indian although the Indians do look nice but for that type of money they need to give me something I don't already have.

Exactly 25 years after the launch of the groundbreaking K bikes, BMW has unveiled the newest generation of this line of powerful inline-four machines. The new K bikes sport a larger displacement, now with 1,293 cc, and an array of new enhancements and features. The 2009 K 1300 S, the most powerful street legal BMW, now offers 175 hp and the torque has been bumped by 7.5 ft-lb to a very impressive 103 ft-lb at 8250 rpm.

Even @ $30K I still think they'll be able to sell the 750 units they intend to produce in '09.
If I had $30K they would only need to sell 749.
Their site is nicely done.

New Indians
I actually got to view and sit on the 09's back in Branson, MO. at the national Indian Ralley in May of 08. I currently own a very customized, 2003 Indian Terminator with nitrous, and other mods.
As much as I love Indian, I just won't pay $30k plus. A Vintage is close to $40k. Plus, no radio, communication, fairing, cruise, or alot of other amenities that many like.
While building only 750 bikes the first year, they probably will sell the initial run. However, with the economy and price, there are only so many buyers of bikes in this price range.
