As a Moldmaker..... semichrome hands down is a great polish for all metals and aluminum as it is not abrasive like mothers and other aluminum polishes .

I've used Magic Mix on my Buell's Performance Machine polished wheels with great results. http://www.streetrodstuff.com/Products/449/ It can also be found in a lot of the major chain truck stops or even dealers such as Peterbilt.

I've polished a lot of aluminum on my trucks and such and always found liquids much easier to use than pastes. Mother's dries too quickly and for the price of Simichrome you can buy a lot of liquid polish.

I found a product called, MAS, had seen it advertised in magazines then found it cheaper in the local hardware store, works great on aluminum and others. used blue magic on my Thunderstar wheels and got the stuff on the rough blk. inside of the wheel, that blue stuff doesnt come off easily if you get it where ya don't want it.

3m Marine Metal Polish. A little elbow grease and a lot of rags, makes it gleem.

The Alcoa Aluminum company's line of products is hard to beat. Who better to shine & protect it than the largest producer of it?

I also have found Speedy Metal Polish to be awesome, and Mother's is still a great Buy It Anywhere stand by.

Here's a pic of one of my past toys...

If they're really bad with water spots or anything else really hard to get off, I use 0000 steel wool. Doesn't scratch and works pretty well. Then polish with some other metal polish
